At TwinBuilt, there is no fancy talk. We just deliver honest, premium renovations with quality and reliability you can count on.

Meet Jesse Martin

Jesse grew up surrounded by tradespeople. His dad is a carpenter and builder. His uncles are all in construction. He has had a hammer in his hand since he was nine years old.

After finishing school, getting his qualifications, and spending time in Sydney, Jesse came back to Canberra and started TwinBuilt with a small cash job fixing up a rangehood. He probably lost money on it. But it got his name out there...

Six years later, TwinBuilt has completed over 320 projects, won multiple Local Business Awards, and built a reputation where 70% of work comes from referrals and word of mouth. Jesse holds both a Carpenter/Joiner Licence and a full Renovation Licence, which means he is legally authorised to manage all trades on-site, including plumbing and electrical. He is not the cheapest option in Canberra, and he is proud of that.

What he offers instead is peace of mind. A fully managed, end-to-end renovation where you do not need to chase trades or coordinate contractors. Jesse handles it all, and he is on-site every day

What Sets TwinBuilt Apart

Owner On-Site, Every Step of the Way

Jesse is on-site for every project. If something is off by a millimetre, he fixes it, even if the client says it is fine. That is the standard. As he puts it: "I wouldn't walk away from something I wouldn't put in my own house.

Fully Licensed and Insured

Both Carpenter/Joiner and Renovation licences. Full public liability and workers compensation insurance. Lawyer-reviewed contracts with no hidden costs.

End-to-End Project Management

From the first demo to the final coat of paint. Jesse manages every trade and supplier. His trusted network of plumbers, electricians, and plasterers have been with him for years. "It's like a brotherhood. You just do the right thing.

Premium Materials and 7-Year Warranty

No cheap imports. No cutting corners. Only premium suppliers and durable materials, backed by a 7-year workmanship warranty.

Our Commitment

We know renovating your home is a big deal. It is your hard-earned money, your family's space, and a lot of trust. That is why we keep communication honest and straightforward. No jargon, no surprises.

About 70% of our work comes from referrals and word of mouth. Two of our biggest sources of referrals are clients who no longer need renovation work themselves, but they keep recommending us to everyone they know. That says everything about how we do business.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long has TwinBuilt been operating?

Jesse founded TwinBuilt in 2020. But his experience goes back much further. He grew up on construction sites with his dad and uncles, and has been on the tools since he was a teenager. Over 320 projects completed since starting the business.

  • What is the difference between a Carpenter/Joiner Licence and a Renovation Licence?

The Renovation Licence is the big one. Most joinery companies only have a Carpenter/Joiner Licence. They can build and install cabinetry, but they cannot legally manage plumbers, electricians, or other trades on your project. Jesse holds both, which means TwinBuilt can manage your entire renovation end-to-end, legally and properly.

  • Do you use subcontractors?

We have a trusted network of trade partners, including plumbers, electricians, plasterers, and tilers, who have been with us for years. Jesse manages and supervises all of them on-site. As he puts it: "My plumber went and got a higher-grade fitting even though the cheap one came with the sink. He didn't tell me. He just did it. That's the kind of people I work with.

  • Why do 70% of your clients come from referrals?

Because we do what we say we will do. We show up, communicate honestly, deliver quality work, and stand behind it. When people have a good experience, they tell their family and friends.

  • What is the ACFA?

The Australian Carpentry and Furniture Association. It is an industry body more specific to joinery and renovation work than the HIA (which is more builder-focused). Jesse transitioned to ACFA because it is a better fit for what TwinBuilt does.
